Who We Are
The Transformation Program
Transformation-Centre offers a residential program which provides holistic and faith-based programming along with community, housing, food and clothing for those addicts and other vulnerable or homeless people.
We are participant centered in that we focus upon our participants’ strengths. Following a daily schedule our clients will participate in faith-based activities.
Prayer meetings, weekly progress check-ins, along with extracurricular activities to treat the individual as a whole. (mind, body and spirit)
We are implementing a weekend visitation option in order to keep family and friends involved in our participants care and assist in addressing family and social dynamics. We provide resources through available organizations within our community to address current issues and also assist in on-going care after participants leave our program to encourage long-term sustainable recovery.
Our Approach
We Facilitate Relationships
We believe supporting relationships within our participants’ social circle gives hope to participants and their families for the future. It is a critical part of our mission to encourage long-term sobriety by creating a good support system to assist participants in making healthier lifestyle choices moving forward. We provide weekly individual check-ins with participants to assess any concerns and track their progress in our program so we can implement changes as necessary on a case-by-case basis to ensure they are receiving the best help possible. Group meetings and group activities are important within our program building a good support system with each resident while within our care, giving them an opportunity to share their stories and to encourage one another along this journey, showing them the value of honesty and transparency within relationships. Participants have chores and duties assigned while in our program (cooking, cleaning, gardening and laundry etc.) to teach them the value of hard work as well as to encourage self-care. We believe these are important skills for participants to have when they leave our program and re-enter society so they may be the best versions of themselves possible. Participants will also actively participate in social enterprise, outreach and volunteer opportunities within our community.
